Supports implementation of marketing communications strategy, including social media and website, advertising, communications for programs, events, and fundraising, invitations, online and print announcements.
Marketing and Communications
Supports listing of events and programming on various media and partner sites.
Manages distribution of print collaterals to regional information booths / partners
Manages digital marketing efforts
Supports content collection for bimonthly newsletter.
Support production of Annual Report, information gathering
Supports regular listing of events, and posting goings-on and relevant information on Facebook Instagram and other social media outlets
Manages Constant Contact distribution lists and mailings
Manages online invitations, RSVPs and ticketing as necessary.
Website Management and Oversight
Supports updates to website content as necessary.
Manages digital marketing (lobby screen etc)
Helps maintain an image bank for marketing and public relations needs
Manages online press release updates/ availability
Supports Executive Director and Director of Communications with administrative tasks as necessary.
Supports Events communication and detail organization as needed.
Helps as point person for CT Art Trail, CT Explored, and other peer organizations as needed
Helps with photographing program and events not covered by professional photographer
As needed, provides assistance to other staff to create clearer and more compelling communications and educational materials
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of integrated marketing and communications and/or public relations concepts, and Social media savvy. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Strong writing / communication skills and ability to synthesize information
Ability to make decisions, stay focused and work under pressure
Ability to plan, schedule, gather information, organize, write and edit communications and meet deadlines in a timely manner
Familiarity with social media trends as they apply to the audience. General working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and Emailing systems.
Facility with Website management and tools
Experience with research process and analysis a plus
Special events experience a plus
Compensation: $20 per hour
