Join us for some April vacation fun! The Greenwich Historical Society is offering a series of educational, hands-on activities for the break.

The Power is Yours! This workshop teaches young planeteers about pollution, its effect on the planet, and how they can help. Students will learn about the importance of clean water by creating a water filter. They will also learn how good soil is made by creating a compost jar. And they will help produce pollinator pathways by constructing seed bombs. In conjunction with our Greenwich Gardens exhibit and in the context of our own local history, we’ll discuss how modern concepts of caring for soil, recycling, and water management are part of a long tradition in our community.

By the end of this workshop, students will have have a deeper respect for the key elements of sustainable gardens: rich soil, clean water, healthy plants, and love for the land!

Masks must be worn be all attendees. Classes size maximum of 10.
Price: $15 for members, $25 for non-members
