In conjunction with our current exhibition, Greenwich During the Revolutionary War: A Frontier Town on the Front Line, the Time Travelers KidStudio returns through March 2025! Step back in time and learn how kids lived in Greenwich 250 years ago. Every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon will feature a new guided craft or activity inspired by the colonial era. Children up to age 12 are welcome to attend with an accompanying adult.

On Saturday, February 1 the KidStudio will offer corn husk dolls! In the age before plastic children in centuries past used corn to create dolls to play with. A tradition started by Northeastern Native Americans, corn husk doll making was eventually adopted by both the children of European settlers and enslaved people in the thirteen colonies due to both how simple it was to create the dolls and how easily accessible corn husks were. Create your own corn husk doll and learn the legend as to why corn husk dolls never have a face.
