Our Museum store is bustling year-round with interesting gifts and Greenwich-realated items. Assist with sales, display design, merchandising, gift-wrapping, and maintaining our stock of unique items. Bring your creative flair and support our growing business!
Greet visitors, check-in tour participants, assist with answering phone calls and engage tourists and members of the community during their visits to the Greenwich Historical Society.
We host events on our campus year round, welcoming members of the community to enjoy the museum galleries, barn and gardens. Volunteers assist with events such as Tavern Garden Markets, Music on the Great Lawn, members-only programs, fund-raising events and exhibition openings.
Students age 14 and older are welcome to participate in a number of roles at the Historical Society. Love research? Education and Camp? Events? Students assist at family events with children’s craft activities, breakdown and cleanup. Your commitment to community programming can earn Community Service hours, and is a great opportunity to serve while learning about your home town.
There is always a lot happening behind the scenes to keep our many programs, communications and member services running smoothly. Help distribute promotional materials, assist with mailings, or lend a hand in a variety of ways in our administrative offices.
Have a green thumb and a few hours to support our gardens? The Green Team manages the Historical Society’s heirloom vegetable gardens, Tavern Garden, Impressionist Garden, roses, historic lilacs and more. Your skill, experience, and willingness to get your hands dirty are invaluable to us! Hours are flexible from early spring through the fall.
