Visitor Information

The well-being of our visitors and staff is our top priority, and we have developed the following visitor guidelines to ensure your safety. The Greenwich Historical Society is committed to complying with the standards set by the State of Connecticut in order to safely operate and welcome visitors.

Timed Entrances: Reservations to visit the Museum Galleries or attend a Site and Landscape Tour must be made online at least 24 hours in advance of your visit.

Face Masks: All visitors must wear face masks or face-coverings while outdoors or indoors on the Historical Society grounds.

Number of Visitors: Groups will be limited to no more than 4 members of a family or household party for indoor visitors, or 5 for outdoor site tours.

Before You Visit:

  • If you or anyone traveling with you are experiencing any COVID 19 symptoms please reschedule your visit. We will gladly adjust your reservation so you may visit us when healthy.
  • If you or anyone traveling with you have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID 19 in the last 14 days please reschedule your visit until at least 14 days have passed.
  • If the CDC, or any other division of federal or state government, issues any travel advisory that clearly prohibits your trip to the Museum, please reschedule your visit.

When You Arrive: Please plan to check-in at our information desk no more than 10 minutes prior to your reservation. You will be asked to provide proof of admission for the assigned date/time, either through presentation of printed or email confirmation or by name on the reservation.

During Your Visit: Please follow recommendations for social distancing, allowing at least 6 feet between yourself and other visitors.
