In conjunction with our current exhibition, Greenwich During the Revolutionary War: A Frontier Town on the Front Line, the Time Travelers KidStudio returns through June 2025! Step back in time and learn how kids lived in Greenwich 250 years ago. Every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon will feature a new guided craft or activity inspired by the colonial era. Children up to age 12 are welcome to attend with an accompanying adult.
On Wednesday, May 7 the KidStudio will offer making and playing with marbles! Marbles are one of the world’s oldest toys, ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans all played with marbles made of stone or nuts. The first Europeans to settle in America brought marbles with them and they have been enjoyed by American children ever since. Make your own marbles to take home out of airdry clay, learn how to play different games with marbles, and enjoy racing marbles down our marble run!
