Now You Can Take My Picture brings to life the travels and photography of Mike Harris.
Mike and his wife Sally seek out places to travel where they can interact with people whose lives and cultures are different from their own. They have traveled extensively in foreign countries but also treasure their travels within the United States.
The couple share their work with live and digital presentations and through galleries exhibitions. But Mike wanted something more … something you could touch, hold and take home with you. This is why he has created this book.
Mike includes photographs from adventures he has experienced while travelling with professional photographers. Those professional photographers have offered their thoughts about their favorite images.
What makes Now You Can Take My Picture different is Mike’s stories where he describes what attracted him to take selected photographs and why these photographs have special meaning for him. He takes the viewer along on the journey.
Books may be purchased at the Museum Store in advance or on the day of the program for signing by the author. Admission to the talk is FREE, but space is limited and registration is recommended.
