Opening April 2026
The Greenwich Historical Society presents its third and final exhibition in the series celebrating America’s 250th—Fashioning America: 250 years of Greenwich Style. Displaying the evolution of American fashion and how these styles reflect changes in American society and culture. For 250 years, the ideals of the American Revolution, as expressed in the Declaration of Independence, have helped shape our national identity—and these enduring principles are reflected in the fashions we have worn throughout history and choose to wear today.
The clothing in this exhibition is drawn primarily from the Greenwich Historical Society’s collection with many pieces exhibited for the first time, as well as pieces lent by local museums and women who shared clothing that represent important events in their lives.
