Events & Educational Programs

The Greenwich Historical Society is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our mission is to preserve and interpret Greenwich history to strengthen the community’s connection to our past, to each other and to our future.

Founded in 1931, the Greenwich Historical Society operates an award-winning, nationally-accredited museum, library and archives, and is home to the Bush-Holley House, a National Historic Landmark built in 1730 that was later the home of the Cos Cob art colony, a gathering place for American Impressionist painters and writers.

The Greenwich Historical Society’s core audience is a “Who’s Who” of Greenwich business, civic and philanthropic leaders. Our members and visitors care deeply about historic preservation, art, architecture and local history.
