Afternoon in the Archives: Twachtman in His Own Words

Join Greenwich Historical Society archives and curatorial staff for an afternoon in the Library & Archives, delving deeper into the words and life of painter John Henry Twachtman and exploring his ties to the Holley family in Cos Cob.

Twachtman and Monet Lecture: Impressionist Crosscurrents in the 1890s

Despite their different backgrounds, many parallels exist in the works of Impressionist artists Claude Monet and John Henry Twachtman in the 1890s. In this illustrated lecture, Life and Art curator Lisa N. Peters will explore reasons for these similarities between Twachtman and Monet.
